Síndrome de Down

We are very excited about our new Spanish Outreach group. 21 families met in January 2010 for a delicious potluck dinner and the chance to meet other families, some of whom speak only spanish. Self advocate Jaime Torres spoke to the group about Down syndrome while his mom translated en español. Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization is a strong advocate for high expectations and considers reaching out to our non-English speaking families very important. Outreach to families who speak Creole
Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization supports several families who speak Creole.  If you know a family with a child who has Down syndrome and needs information (spoken) in Creole, please contact us by email gcdso@bellsouth.net or phone 561-912-1231.

Outreach to Asian families
An online Yahoo group was formed in 2008 to help connect families of children with Down syndrome who are Asian. Click here for the link.
